An organization’s projects represent the values of the people initiating and carrying them out. Historians and preservationists have focused on the prominent and wealthy. Instead, we want FOHG’s projects to tell the interconnected stories of the area’s Indigenous peoples, African Americans, Palatine refugees, and their descendants. Here you will find works that incorporate cartography, demography, preservation, archaeology, history, and more to save and share the past.
